TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SPONSORSHIP AND REGISTRATION AT HEALTHCARE MASTERCLASS
This event is jointly organised by Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium Ltd (SCIC UK) and Marina Medical Services (HMO) Ltd (MMS HMO). Sponsorship and registration is subject to the 'terms and conditions' provided in this document. This 'terms and conditions' supersede any oral/written representation, other communication or any commitment made and/or entered into by any employee or authorised agent of SCIC UK and MMS HMO (partners) at any time regarding this event.
1. Sponsorship and Registration contract
If and when you indicate your interest to sponsor and/or register for this event, your sponsorship and/or registration shall be subject to the terms and conditions set out below. A place will be reserved for you once you have met the conditions for sponsorship and/or registration and we have received cleared funds in our bank account for the event. An official receipt of payment will be sent to you from us acknowledging your payment. This shall apply both to individual event participants and corporate organisations sponsoring or participating.
2. The obligations of SCIC UK and MMS HMO (herein after referred to as partners) to you
2.1 Partners would organise event, provide you with materials and other services advertised with this event.
2.2 Partners shall not be liable for failures occasioned by the actions or inactions of a third party and falling outside our control.
3. Fees charged for courses
Event sponsorship and registration is only complete when full payment for the event has been received and a receipt issued by the partners
4. Policy on refunds
4.1. Refunds after the event date
There shall be no refund after the published date of the event for non-attendance arising from the fault of the sponsor and/or participant. If the partners are at fault, refund may be considered to the degree of fault on the part of the partners subject to deductions for administrative and other charges/costs. To all sponsors, there shall be no refunds whatsoever after the printing had been completed.
4.2. Refunds for cancellation before the event date
In very limited cases, refund may be considered where there are extenuating circumstances and providing that an intending participant has fully paid for the event. It shall lie within the unfettered discretion of the partners to determine what amounts to extenuating circumstances.
a) At least 3 weeks before the day of the event - 30% of event fee excluding administrative charges may be considered for refund.
b) 2 weeks before the date of the event - 20% of event fee excluding administrative charges may be considered for refund.
c) There will be no refund for less than 2 weeks to the start of the event.
Please note that documentary evidence must be provided as proof of extenuating circumstance for us to be able to consider refund. Refund shall be made as bank transfers, cheque or on UK credit/debit card used in making the payment as applicable. Refund payments may take some time to process so please allow up to 30 working days for refund to be made.
5. Rights to terminate event registration or sponsorship
5.1. Partners shall reserve the right to terminate forthwith event sponsorship and/or registration if it is discovered that a sponsor and/or participant have provided information that is found to be untrue or misleading or found in breach of any of the terms and conditions contained in this document.
5.2. Partners shall reserve the right to cancel this event for reasons occasioned by unforeseen circumstances or as a result of events outside its control. Partners will in such cases provide information as early as practically possible to those sponsors and/or participants who have fully paid and registered for the event. Sponsors and participants shall not be entitled to losses or compensation but may be considered for refund subject to the terms and conditions in this document.
5.3. Registered participants of this event may at any time terminate or cancel their registration subject to refund policy stated in paragraph 4 above.
6 Data protection
6.1 Partners are committed to the data protection principles of good information handling and control practice and in keeping with legislative and regulatory provisions in UK law.
6.2 sponsors and participants hereby agree to grant consent to the partners to use personal information they provide for marketing purposes
7. Liabilities and Insurance
Partners shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by an event sponsor and/or participant except in cases of proven negligent acts of the partners. Event participants and sponsors hereby agree to be responsible for taking adequate insurance cover to protect their respective property and employees, representatives and agents during the event.
8. Payment terms
Payment for this event is in Nigeria Naira (NGN) or Great British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Payment can be made by bank transfer or by cheque into event account (please contact partners for information), or by credit or debit card. Payment is said to have been received when cleared funds in respect of full event or sponsorship fees are in partners' bank account. An official receipt of payment from partners will be sent to participant or corporate sponsor.
9. Participants with special needs
Please contact us if you have any special needs to enable us make adequate provisions.
10. Binding Law
This agreement will be executed under UK law.
11. Participants from Overseas
Partners are committed to operate within the laws of the United Kingdom. By accepting to attend this event, overseas participants subject to Nigeria immigration rules undertake to comply fully with applicable immigration rules which include their conditions of entry or visit to Nigeria.
12. Health & Safety, Fire and Security rules
Participants and sponsors hereby agree to comply with and adhere strictly to Health & Safety, Fire and Security regulations and measures at the venue of the event.
13. Declaration
Every sponsor or participant must accept the terms and conditions contained in this document before or at the time payment of the event fee is made in order to participate in the event as a sponsor and/or participant. Failure to comply to this condition shall be construed accordingly by the partners to mean that the sponsor/participant had accepted all the terms and conditions contained in this document.
