You are invited to fill limited spaces for short (5 – 10mins) presentations, designed within the overall objectives of the event. We would prefer presentations that are supported with graphics and illustrations to ease understanding. Presentations should be business driven exposing real opportunities to promote healthcare that is supported by evidence. Dr. Amabetare Biu ,
MBBS, DCH, FWACP, MRCP, FRCPCH, FRSM.
He is Director Business Development in Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium. Dr. Biu is a Consultant Paediatrician, Community Child Health at the South Mead Hospital in Bristol England. He is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Child Health at the Bristol University, England where he trains and mentors medical students and Resident Medical Doctors. Part of his job involves Healthcare policy formulation and coordination of medical care for children under the age of 18 years in a large community in Bristol. Dr. Biu is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the North Bristol NHS Trust. He is a Paediatrician with over 23 years of work experience in the UK.
Dr. Biu is also a Medical Consultant and Resource person to Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC). He has vast experience in healthcare clinical services and system management. He has been for many years involved in mobilisation of Nigerian experts in Diaspora to contribute towards the development of Nigeria.

He is the Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Helen Hedley is a business development consultant with Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium Ltd, UK. She is a committed, intuitive and supportive business coach with wide experience in public sector, corporate and small businesses clients including healthcare, retail, management consultancy, H. M. Customs & Excise among others.
Mrs Helen Hedley is a specialist in People and Business Development, coaching, and customer service training and consultancy.

Afam is a Health Information Specialist with an MBA in Communication Technology. Started his career at Swiss Pharma Nigeria Ltd (formerly Roche International) as Information Technology Manager. He has wide experience in the Health Industry as Information Technology expert, and has worked with four reputable HMOs as Head, Information Technology.
He is currently the Head of Management Information Systems in Marina Medical Services (HMO) Ltd. He works in collaboration with Technology Consulting partners of Marina Medical Services (HMO) Ltd, Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium Ltd, UK (together with their partners Elementz IT Solutions, India) to develop low cost technology solutions for healthcare in developing countries.

Sherry Matthews V.
He leads the Information Technology products development and marketing team of Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium, working with our strategic partner, Elementz IT Solutions India in developing low cost healthcare technology applications. He is a key member of our ‘innovative excellence’ scheme (identifying trends, new and emerging technological applications). His Electrical, Electronics and Manufacturing Engineering background enables him with excellent problem solving skills and good understanding of TQM. He is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt with regular and active participation in shop floor activities like Kaizen and quality cycles. He has a strong desire for efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of services within our portfolio. He is a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Rowland Ekperi
He is the Chairman of Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium Ltd. He has close to 30 years experience in the public, private and social sectors ranging from international diplomacy, banking, healthcare, social housing, academics to management consultancy. He provides strong leadership to the Board and interfaces with the Management Team to direct our business positions, while ensuring that we develop and deliver superior services. His core areas of expertise include amongst others, Public Policy Reforms and guided deregulation, capacity building and change management, employee and clients satisfaction audits and management, succession planning, mergers & acquisitions and business repositioning.

Andrew Pinneh.
He is Director of Projects and Head of Administration of Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium Ltd. He leads the Facilities Management consulting team. He is an Engineer with many years experience in the built environment in the UK. He has managed and consulted on various public sector projects financed on PPP/PFI models (for hospitals and schools) as alternative financing for public sector infrastructure development and service delivery.

Dr. David Kieghe.
He is Director of Strategic Operations of Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium. He is a medical doctor and business strategist with experience in the public and private sectors. He is an excellent communicator and trainer. He has vast experience in healthcare, health insurance, consultancy and education, and financial services in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. He is an ardent believer in continuous process and systems improvement driving high performance in the delivery of value that offers stakeholders better choices.

Anthony Cedric THOMAS.
He is an Associate consultancy with Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium Ltd. His core expertise is in public and private sector financing strategies. He brings to our team, many years of financial services products development with JP Morgan and Bloomberg to inform products and services financing consultancy. His core expertise includes Business Development, Relationship Management, Sales & Marketing and Commercial Partnership Collaboration.

He is the MD/CEO of Marina Medical Services (HMO) Ltd. He is a Consultant Paediatrician with vast experience in clinical care and has excellent understanding of Health System management and the role of the organised private sector in healthcare. He is a Harvard University trained healthcare manager.

Dr. Adesola Adelaja.
General Manager (medical) of Tarere Ventures Ltd, Nigeria, a full service Turnkey Medical Equipment suppliers in Nigeria. He has vast practical experience in medical equipment procurement with emphasis on ‘value for money’ delivery.

Roger Stent

He is an Associate Consultant with Strategic Consulting and Implementation Consortium Ltd, UK. Roger is an executive coach and management trainer with over 30 years’ experience in operations and business-to-business services. He has held Board positions in the Water Industry, Business Services and Waste Management industries, and had experience of living and training in many countries.
Roger specialises in the impact of organisational change, leadership and people development. His clients include the UK National Health Service (NHS), the Houses of Parliament, Local Authorities, Chelsea Football Club and major commercial organisations such as Unilever, Societe Generale and Airbus. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring through OPM (the Office of Public Management), and a Certificate in Life Coaching, and is a Member of the Association of Coaching. - Has been Consultant for the World Bank, the WHO, UNICEF, UNEP, UNESCO, UNCHS-HABITAT, Commonwealth Secretariat, the European Union and the Rockefeller Foundation;
- Council Member of the Chartered Institution of Water & Environmental Management;
- Past Chairman of the British Broadcasting Corporation Regional Advisory Council BBC-RAC) and a Member of the English National Forum
His current areas of research interests are:
- Governance and Capacity Building Issues in the context of the water, sanitation and urban slum upgrading targets (environmental sustainability Goal) of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the World Bank Poverty Reduction Strategy Processes – PRSP ) .
- Sustainable Water Management Systems and Diffuse Pollution Management Teaching and Learning Techniques and Development in Water and Environment Education.

Dr. Folabi Ogunlesi

heads Vesta Healthcare Partners as Managing Partner/Chief Executive.
Folabi was one of the founding partners at Vesta, with the objective of creating a world-class medical professional services firm to address and solve healthcare issues facing the healthcare sector, particularly in low and medium income economies. As a pioneer, Vesta defines industry standards, operates an exceptionally high code of ethics and deploys the sharpest minds to the service of its clients. At Vesta, he is responsible for overall strategy, financial success and executive performance of the firm. He is also responsible for driving growth, winning new business, ensuring world-class professional standards and nurturing in-house talent. He chairs the Partners’ Council.
Folabi was born in Ibadan Nigeria, and attended Government College Ibadan, King’s College Lagos, College of Medicine University of Ibadan, University of Pennsylvania USA and Balliol College University of Oxford UK. He received his training in General and Respiratory Medicine at some of the most prestigious institutions in the UK including the Hammersmith, University College Hospital, The Royal London and London Chest Hospital. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) degree, by the University of Oxford, whilst studying aspects of the molecular immunology of HIV. He is a member of the British Thoracic Society, the European Respiratory Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
Whilst at Balliol College, Oxford, Folabi was elected to the prestigious Henry-Jowett Senior Scholarship and has also received numerous awards including the United Nations Silver Peace Medal and a UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office Chevening Scholarship.
His unique talent is in combining clinical skills with the business of healthcare. Folabi has extensive experience in medical policy formulation, procurement, consultancy and the interface between healthcare Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). Prior to founding Vesta, he was Managing Director of Huntleigh Healthcare Nigeria Limited, where he grew the business to market leader status in Nigeria and created the first full-service medical equipment manufacturer subsidiary in Nigeria.
In addition to his role at Vesta, Folabi also advises governments, corporations and statutory bodies on business aspects of healthcare whilst retaining his practice in London as an NHS Consultant Respiratory Physician with an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. He enjoys squash racquets and golf.

A Fellow of Chartered Institute of Chemists of Nigeria with 29 years relevant experience in the water industry. He is specialized in the design and construction of water treatment plants and solar installations. He is also a member of Waste Management Society of Nigeria.
