Do you award certificates?
We are not a college or university and are only able to award certificate of course attendance. While we recognise the place of certificates as reference for course completion, we emphasise knowledge, understanding and ability to bring to practical application for industry and to improve job performance.

We run specialised short courses that emphasise application to work and real life environment. How long are your courses?
Our training courses are short and intensive and usually last for between 1 to 5 days. We understand that executives have very busy schedules, and therefore develop courses that are concentrated on solving specific problems that can support and improve individual and system-wide organisational performance.

How much does your courses cost?
This will depend on the course design, expertise required, duration and whether the course is being organised in the UK or overseas. While we ensure quality of our courses in content and delivery, we are first of all partners in development, and therefore aim to deliver value in a way that saves cost to customers. This is part of our social enterprise approach to business. The costs of our courses are very competitive and come with value additions as differentiation.

What does the fee cover?
Our typical course fee will cover cost of instructing, course materials, light refreshments, certificate of attendance and souvenirs. Fee for our packaged courses would include the above and also lodging, feeding, transportation and sightseeing. Fees for overseas training would cover travel, lodging and insurance for our staff and consultants.

Is there discount?
Our courses are usually discounted. There is further discount if payment is made before advertised deadlines, registration for two or more courses or for organisations sponsoring many participants. Discounts are usually included in course brochures for open courses.

What do I do to enrol?
Be sure that the training is suitable for you looking at the course objectives and your individual plans, and that of your present work activities. Download course application form and "terms and conditions" from our website, complete fully and return to us either by email: training@scic.co.uk (as scanned copies) or by fax or by post. One of our colleagues would contact you to assess your suitability and assist you through the process of enrolment.

Can you provide advice on visa?
Yes, we can provide you with general information on visa requirements. However, you would need to contact the British Embassy or High Commission in your country for additional information.

What if I am not given visa?
This is not within our remit of control as we can only advice prospective course participants.
